Overview

ThreatLocker protects data transmitted between ThreatLocker Agents, the ThreatLocker Portal, and supported integrations using industry-standard encryption technologies. Secure connections help ensure that data remains protected while it is transmitted.

Secure Communications

ThreatLocker uses Transport Layer Security (TLS) to establish secure, encrypted communications.

Before a connection is established, the identity of the ThreatLocker service is verified using trusted digital certificates. Once the connection has been authenticated, TLS encrypts all data exchanged between the client and the service.

Certificate Validation

ThreatLocker uses X.509 digital certificates (commonly referred to as SSL certificates) to authenticate its services. These certificates are validated through trusted Certificate Authorities (CAs), helping ensure clients are communicating with legitimate ThreatLocker services before encrypted communication begins.
