Creating an Exclusion Policy for a Storage Path

Note: This is not recommended unless you are experiencing high resource usage due to intense logging as this can impact the logs you are able to see in the Unified Audit.

For folders that log an excessive amount of data, or folders that store roaming user profiles, creating a Storage Control Policy can improve PC performance.

Navigate to the 'Modules' dropdown in the left-hand menu, then select 'Storage Contro'l.

Select '+ New Policy' in the top left-hand corner of the page.

A window will open called 'Create Storage Policy'. Input a name for the policy in the 'Details' section.

Apply this policy to the computer that is experiencing performance issues.

Select the following conditions:

Select Read/Write instead of just Read.

Input the path of the folder that you want to exclude from logging.

In the Actions section, confirm that this is set to Permit and that the switch for Log in the Unified Audit is set to off.

Note: Log in the Unified Audit should be switched off to make this an exclusion policy.

All other settings can be left at their default selections or set as desired.

Be sure to select the 'Save' button and deploy policies.
