Triggered Application Control Installation Mode
Please Note: This feature will only be visible if the requesting computer has a supported ThreatLocker Version installed.
Beginning in Windows Agent 9.5 and macOS Agent 4.2, an Approval Request can utilize Triggered Installation mode. This will hold the start of the Installation mode until the end user attempts to run the file again, keeping the computer in a secured state until the end user is present and ready to install the requested file.
Navigate to the Response Center > Approvals tab.
In the "How do you want to allow this software?" section of the request, select "Temporarily Disable Protection for one hour and learn installed files with Application Control Installation Mode".
Select "Start Installation Mode Upon File Execution" to temporarily delay the start of the Installation Mode until the file is executed again.
Next, select the maximum amount of time that the Installation Mode can be delayed. By default, this will be set to 7 days, giving the end user up to 7 days to run the file again, triggering the one-time Installation Mode to start.
The Installation Mode can be held for anywhere from 1 hour to 30 days, giving end users the flexibility to install the requested file at their convenience, while maintaining Secured Mode on the computer until they are ready to run the file.
