You should strive to keep your devices in a 'Secured' status as much as possible and only change the status as needed for specific uses, such as installing new software.
To view or change the maintenance mode on your device, navigate to the ‘Devices’ page using the left-hand menu.
The ‘Devices’ page will show you all machines within your organization. Looking in the ‘Mode’ column, you will be able to see the current mode that each device is in.
Changing to Secured Mode
‘Secured Mode’ can easily be enabled in one of three ways.
Securing from the Devices Page
To Secure your machine from the ‘Devices’ page, navigate to the ‘Mode’ column, then select the dropdown menu.
Select ‘Secured’ from the dropdown menu. The device you selected this on will now be in ‘Secured Mode’.
Securing Multiple Devices at Once
To secure multiple devices at the same time, remain on the ‘Devices’ page, then select the device(s) you would like to secure by selecting the checkbox to the left of the device name.
You can select one device or multiple devices. You can also select all devices at once by choosing the checkbox at the top of the devices list to the left of where it says ‘Name / Operating System’.
Once all devices have been selected, you will notice a button at the top of the devices list that says, ‘Secure Mode’. Select this, then choose ‘Yes’ when asked “Do you want to continue?” to place all selected devices back into ‘Secured Mode’.
From the Maintenance Tab
Lastly, you can end the maintenance mode early by navigating to the maintenance tab in the ‘Devices’ page. You can access this by selecting the wrench icon to the right of the maintenance mode.
Within the ‘Maintenance’ page, navigate to the ‘Maintenance History’ section and find the current maintenance period.
Select the ‘End’ button in the top right corner of the current maintenance period to end it early and put the device into ‘Secured Mode’.
