Script Detection Settings Advanced Setting

Please Note: This setting requires Mac Agent 6.1 or above.

The Script Detection Settings Advanced Setting takes the place of the legacy 'Option' EnableScriptDetection.

This is an macOS only Advanced Setting that increases an organization's security by adding additional script detection and control. Until all scripts are learned, it could cause unexpected blocks on custom applications, so please enable this setting with care.

Navigate to the 'Advanced Settings' page and select '+ New Setting'. In the 'Create Settings' side panel, use the 'Setting Type' dropdown to select 'Script Detection Settings'.

In the 'Applies To' dropdown, select the group or computer you want to apply this setting to.

Next, select whether to add this setting to the top of the Advanced Setting list or the bottom.  Advanced Settings are applied from the top down.

In the Parameters section, toggle on the Enable Script Detection switch.

Select the blue 'Create' button to save the setting.

On the main grid, press the Update Agents button to apply the setting to the agents.
