To deploy ThreatLocker’s Web Control Extension using Intune, start by opening your Intune Admin Center and selecting the ‘Devices’ page using the left-hand menu. Then, in the ‘Devices’ section, navigate to ‘Manage devices’ and select ‘Configuration’ from the dropdown.
Now, in the ‘Configuration’ page, navigate to the ‘+ Create’ dropdown and select ‘New Policy’.
Once the ‘New Policy’ button is selected, a sidebar will populate titled ’Create a profile’.
Using the ‘Platform’ dropdown, select ‘Windows 10 and later’. Then, for ‘Profile Type’, select ‘Settings catalog’. Once you have chosen both of these options, select the ‘Create’ button at the bottom of the sidebar.
After this, you will be brought to a new page to finalize your profile creation. In the ‘Basics’ tab, insert your profile’s name and description (the description is optional), then select ‘Next’ when done.

The next page is called ‘Configuration Settings’. Here, select the ‘Add settings’ button.

Choosing this button will open a sidebar titled ‘Settings picker’. Here, search for the following:
Extension/App IDs and update URLs to be silently installed (Device)
Once searched, select the correct category from the list. If your organization primarily uses Google Chrome as a browser, select the 'Google Google Chrome Extensions' option. If your organization primarily uses Microsoft Edge as a browser, select the 'Microsoft Edge\Extensions' option.

Select the result for ‘Extension/App IDs and update URLs to be silently installed (Device)’ below to add it to your list of settings for this profile.
Once this has been selected, you can close out of the ‘Settings picker’ sidebar. Within your settings list, you should now be able to view the settings you selected. If the setting is disabled, make sure you select the switch to enable it.

A new entry field will populate once the setting is enabled. In this field, enter the Extension ID of the ThreatLocker Web Control Extension, which is the following:
Microsoft Edge: hgfcoifeokmjbiagpeaicjlhnlpfokfb
OR
Google Chrome: hmblejjjbiighoepgehkcallcgiadpmc
Once inserted, select the checkbox to the left of your inserted Extension ID, then select ‘Next’ at the bottom of the page.

You can now apply Scope Tags and Assignments to this profile using information specific to your organization. After this has been entered, review your profile before selecting the ‘Create’ button at the bottom of the page.
A restart of the Edge or Chrome Browser is required for the new policy to appear. To confirm that this policy deployment has worked, use the browser to navigate to edge://policy (Edge) or chrome://policy (Chrome) on an endpoint where the policy has been applied. If this policy was properly applied, it will appear within the list of policies appearing on this page.
