The ThreatLocker Portal now includes the ability to create External Devices and External Device Groups, allowing organizations to define and manage access to devices that do not have ThreatLocker installed such as printers, scanners, and Unix-based systems.
By creating External Devices, administrators can control which ThreatLocker-protected computers are permitted to communicate with these unmanaged devices.
Creating an External Device Group
External Device Groups are used to organize unmanaged devices and simplify access control.
- Navigate to the Device Groups page.
- Click + Device Group.
- Enter a Group Name.
- Select Device Group Type: External
- Click Create.
Creating a New External Device
Once a group has been created, you can add a new external device.
