Changes to Adobe 6/8/2021

View in Browser

Earlier today, Adobe released an update for Adobe Reader which included a brand new, unsigned file. This file, c:\program files (x86)\adobe\acrobat dc\acrobat\libeay32.dll, has never been part of Adobe before. Unfortunately, this caused a delay in the incorporation of this file into our Built-In Application Definition, and we do apologize for that.

At 8 a.m. EDT ThreatLocker received an alert that there was an Adobe Reader update. It is unusual for Adobe to release a new file that does not contain their signature. This atypical file was flagged and the ThreatLocker Application Team began researching its authenticity as all files need to be verified before adding them into our Built-In Application. After completing our investigation at 11:30 a.m. EDT, this file was added into our Built-In Application.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused today.
