Agent Versioning

1 min. readlast update: 04.22.2025

The ThreatLocker Agents for all platforms adhere to the same file versioning standard as outlined below.

Major

The first number (the number to the left of the first period) pertains to a major build.

Major builds are defined as builds that contain at least one new feature.

Moderate

The second number (the one between the first and second period) signifies a moderate build.

Specific to Windows only, this can also signify the release of a new Driver. Only the ThreatLocker Windows Agent contains a separate Driver component.

A moderate build would be a new driver or significant changes to an existing feature.

Minor

The third number (the number to the right of the second period) signifies a minor build.

A minor build contains only bug fixes.

Please note, not all Agent versions will contain a minor version.
